EYEBROW KIT

i am addict when it comes to eyebrow make-ups because my brows are just too hard to handle. so I've been trying these but i guess my brows are just too sparse that the powder just wouldn't work for me. can anyone tell me how? the powder looks so unnatural on my bare skin(sparse area) and it wears off in no time. so sad huh?

PAPER SOAP

this was given to me by my friend and it's very useful. it is cute and smells really good.  it comes in handy when you need to wash your hands. all you need to do is take a petal and you can now wash you hands.

SUNBLOCK! coz i'm afraid of the sun LOL

Sunblock is a must for me because of 3 reasons. 1st, i have freckles and they're getting more and more each day.. i hate it so much! 2nd, i just don't like to see myself in the mirror whenever my is dark.  3rd, for health purposes and prevention of premature aging.so here's my sunblocks..

Heliocare is my HG facial sunblock.. its a little expensive but it does the work for me. it comes with a beige colored gel and i can wear it under my make up. i wear this whenever i stay under the sun for too long. i never had break outs with this product. it's not heavy even if its spf90. this is made especially for those who have acne-prone and oily skin. love this!

Nivea Sun Immediate Sun Protection is great for summer outing! i use this on my face whenever i go to the beach because it has spf50 and it is water resistant. and i love the idea that there's no need to wait for 20minutes with this product. just apply this all over your face and you're good to go!

Neutrogena ultra sheer spf50 is what i use most of the time whenever I'm going outdoors because it can be used as a make up base as well. Basically this is my everyday sunblock.

Nivea Refreshing milk spf 30 is what i use on my face when I'm staying home because it has the minimum spf out of all my sunblocks.

And finally, my nivea sun immediate sun protection spf30 for my body. i don't know it its just me.. but I'm liking the feel of it. i like its stickiness somehow. i feel like its providing me a dewy finish on my skin. i don't know.. whatever! hehe..

L'OCCITANE Lipgloss

i love this lip gloss. it was given to me by my best friend. it smells like vanilla and honey combined. this lipgloss is amazing. it wont get off of my lips. i tried putting this on before going to bed and i woke up with it still on. it has a slightly sticky and thick consistency but it doesn't matter. it provides me the long lasting shine  and moisturizes my lips at the same time. it has Shea butter by the way. love it!

TOO FACED brow-nie eyebrow pencil in Blonde-y

This is my HG eyebrow pencil! i can never go wrong with it. it's creamy, which i prefer because I've got a heavy hand in applying eyebrow pencils. It looks like a very light brown in pencil and swatches but to my eyebrows it looks exactly like my brow color(i have super fine, messy, sparse eyebrows by the way). it doesn't look fake, it glides on smoothly, and it doesn't wear off easily. i like a natural looking full brows. i never liked an eyebrow that looks like a thick and harsh line drawn into a face.  I love the packaging. it comes with a mirror and it's tiny and cute that will fit even in your jeans pocket without being uncomfortable. But somehow i don't find them pigmented. Its gold flecks and shimmers are very intense which is awesome because it adds vibrancy especially in the pictures or say when you are out with your friends to go clubbin'. But i don't think this will work to someone with large pores because the shimmers will only enhance visible pores. Peach Girl is a peachy pink color with gold flecks in it. i wear this night and day. Pink Wink is a light pink blush with shimmers. i actually use this to highlight my cheekbones because its very shimmery that its pink color has somewhat became just an undertone to the shimmers. i like them but i don't love them. I'm not a blush person actually because i haven't found my HG yet.

REVLON SUPERLUSTROUS LIPSTICKS

So i have 3 superlustrous lipsticks which i loooveee...because they are very pigmented. i love them! i am currently obsessed with red or should i say bold lipsticks. i love Strawberry Suede the most because its matte which suits my lips the best. Siren is a cute orange color that is totally wearable and buildable. Fire & Ice is a very cute red lipstick. And Strawberry Suede is kinda like in between of Siren and Fire & Ice because of its corally red color. pictures and swatches below.

SMASHBOX O-Glow Blush

i bought this product because i thought its cool.. i liked the idea that it will provide me my perfect shade of blush. but gosh this is a waste of money. it didn't work on me! the texture is weird.. almost like a greasy feel as i tried to work it on my cheeks. the pigmentation is awful that there were much more pigment on my fingertips than on my cheeks. i tried to build up its color by layering it but it only left me an oily face without the effect of natural flush as promised. My tube is almost empty due to several but failed trials. don't get me wrong.. I've seen a lot of reviews of this product and many of them loved it. i guess this is just not for me.

yes it works well on my hands but not on my cheeks.. *sigh*

The Body Shop: Baked Powder Bronzer in Golden Bronze 01

On The Body Shop.Com it says this about the Baked Powder Bronzer: ” Best if you want to: Create a sun-kissed glow with a natural-looking bronzer, handmade and slow-baked for up to eight hours of deliciously rich color.” I chose the shade 01 in Golden Bronze because i meant to use it as a contour blush as well for my wedding. it did great! but for a bronzer, i think it's too dark for me. I could still pull it off on summer seasons though. i just have to use a very small amount to give me that summer glow. pictures and swatches ahead. =)

TOO FACED SHADOW INSURANCE

This eyeshadow primer is a must for me. i have a super oily eyelids and I'd never been able to put a decent eyeshadow without creasing in a couple of hours. After having decided to choose too faced over UDPP, there, i bought it at last and i never regret buying it. i love it! My eyeshadow stays put until evening. I've been using it religiously since may 2010 and i haven't even consumed 3/4 of the tube. it's great!

I also like the idea that it comes with a squeeze tube for sanitary purposes. And oh! this baby doesn't need depotting. :)

SEPHORA's make up eraser

okay this is a lifesaver! i am chinita who's always trying hard to put on a nice and clean liquid eyeliner. and I'd always allot at least 15minutes before i get it right. i always tend to mess it up by trying to make it clean and even. So i would have to start over again. With sephora make up eraser which i bought in Singapore, i am now able to fix it in no time. i'll just have to erase my mess here and there then that's it! It's a make up remover in a felt tip pen. LOVE!

REVLON beyond natural concealer and highlighter

i got married last year and the preparations was sooooo overwheming since i was the one who coordinated everything. i really wanted our special day to be special and i wanted to be hands on to every single detail of our wedding. Most especially, i wanted to be at my prettiest in time of our wedding. i noticed that highlighters are nice in pictures. i did not have enough time so i went ahead and bought the first highlighter i saw which is REVLON's beyond natural concealer and highlighter. swatches ahead...

the highlighter was OK.. it gives definition into your brows when used at the brow bones. but the concealer just didn't match my skin tone and it wasn't blendable. Overall, I'd give this a 1.5 out of 5.

Getting Started

I am in love with make ups. Before, i was wondering if somethings wrong with me because even how limited my budget was, i would always find a way to buy myself some cosmetics. But the thing is, even up to now, i haven't consumed a single pan. i would always tell myself whenever I'm lemming for something that it's gonna be the last time for i already found a perfect shade for me blah blah blah... I really thought that somethings wrong with me because my friends were not an avid fan of cosmetics. it took me long to realize that this is what i love and it really makes me happy. Right at the moment, my hands are itchy, i wanna buy loads of make ups! I've decided to make a blog of my own because i always read people's blog and I'm enjoying it. and so i thought of doing mine. :)
